As the UAE pursues a US$1 trillion target for non-oil trade and a goal to reach AED 4 trillion in foreign trade by 2031, the country continues to expand its Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) network. In 2025, the UAE aims to enhance trade relationships with nations including Australia, Vietnam, Jordan, Malaysia, the Philippines, and countries within the South American Mercosur bloc.
Since launching the CEPA initiative in 2021, the UAE has signed 24 agreements, impacting 2.5 billion people globally and significantly increasing non-oil trade. These agreements provide UAE exporters with improved market access and preferential tariffs, positioning the nation as a key player in international commerce.
As more agreements come into effect, the UAE is set to unlock new opportunities in emerging sectors, reinforcing its status as a global trade hub.
